Jeff is a recognized video processing expert with over 20 years of industry experience. He has made significant contributions to digital video product development and standardization, including MPEG-2, H.264, HD DVD, and BD. Prior to igolgi, Jeff was General Manager of a Corporate Research Laboratory for Thomson Inc. in Princeton, NJ. He had additional responsibility as Worldwide Director of Compression activities in Thomson, leading a team of 80 researchers. Jeff was the lead contributor to the development of the industry’s first direct broadcast satellite video decoder for DirecTV. He also led several key developments for Thomson, including the first HDTV decoder and DVD player. Jeff has 33 issued US patents and over 50 pending applications. He has a BSEE from Ohio University and an MS from Purdue
University.
